From observations to advice - future research and practice?

Thrilled to begin talking about our work on systems to collect everyday observations and then use these observations to offer more precise, more relevant, and more timely advice to families and professionals worldwide.

The slides and notes from today’s talk are available here:

Very much looking forward to feedback and input on any aspect of this work.

Some initial areas of interest:

  • Extending the platform (areas of development, ages) - beyond early communication, speech and language
  • Data analysis (approaches, automation, open access)
  • Experiments?
  • Translations and adaptations
  • Decision-making algorithms – fixed, adaptable, self-learning
  • New observation and intervention paradigms – audio and visual information processing and interaction, conversational interfaces and interventions, etc
  • How do we best support and promote open collaboration?
