Tariffs on shipments to the USA

On April 2, the US government announced new tariffs on imports into the USA. DSE ships books and teaching materials from the UK to clients around the world, including into the USA. At this time, the new tariffs on goods imported from the UK do not apply to our books and teaching materials and therefore we expect shipments to continue to be delivered without import duties charged.

The US government has recently announced new tariffs on imports from countries around the world, including the United Kingdom. These tariffs are now in effect, as detailed in Executive Order 14257 of April 2, 2025.

We have received requests for information about these tariffs and whether they will apply to shipments of See and Learn teaching materials and books from DSE to clients in the USA.

While the situation may change, at this time imports of printed materials in the US are exempted from the new tariffs under Section 3(b)(iv) and Annex II of Executive Order 14257.

We therefore do not expect duties to be charged on shipments of books or See and Learn teaching materials imported into the USA.

If the situation changes, we will update this post.
